2025 Summer Concert Series Application
The City of Elliot Lake would like to invite local musicians and bands to submit an application to play at one of our Summer in the Park Concert Series Shows. These are free concerts held outdoors at Westview Park for community members to come and enjoy some wonderful musical entertainment.
If you have participated in the Series before please note this year's Concert Series will be a little different from past years as we will be holding the Concerts on Fridays and Saturdays rather than Sundays. Concerts will also be played later in the day as many attendees and past performers have noted that the heat of the midday sun can make it difficult to attend and perform.
We are providing artists with the option to perform either on a Friday or Saturday evening. Please indicate your preference in the relevant question below.
Please also note that the first Concert in the series will be held on Monday, June 30th. as part of Heritage Days Weekend Festivities.
All concerts will be set to play at Westview Park on these dates:*
- Monday, June 30th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm*
- Friday, July 18th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm OR Saturday, July 19th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm
- Friday, August 15th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm OR Saturday, August 16th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm
- Friday, September 12th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm OR Saturday, September 13th, 2025 from 6pm - 8pm
*Should the weather not be suitable for an outdoor concert, the concert will be moved to Collins Hall for the same date and time.
However, due to a prior booking this will not apply to the June 30th show. Should the weather not be suitable to play outdoors on June 30th the show will be cancelled with the artist receiving their full compensation. (See compensation info. below)
Submissions must be received by 11:55 pm on April 30th, 2025.
Rules & Regulations
Application Details
Deadline: Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:55 PM.
Fee: Free.
How to register: A band representative must complete this online form or contact EDO@elliotlake.ca
Under 18? A parent/guardian must submit the registration form as band representative.
Waivers:
- Waivers must be signed by each participating member of the musical act.
- The band representative is responsible for ensuring that all band members and helpers sign the waiver.
- Waivers will be emailed upon registration and must be completed by Sunday, May 30, 2025, at 11:55 PM.
Compensation
Each band will be provided a payment of $350.00 for their performance. No substitutions will be allowed.
Insurance
- All participating bands must provide a valid Certificate of Insurance prior to the event.
- Musicians who do not carry their own insurance may be able to purchase a one-time event insurance policy through the City's User Facility Program for a fee of $46.49.

Audition Guidelines
- Submit a one-song demo video (original songs encouraged!)
- Enter the link for your video to the online form or email your file and/or link to EDO@elliotlake.ca
- Lyrics must not contain profanity, derogatory language, explicit content, or violence.
Selection Process
- A selection committee will review entries and choose the top four (4) musical acts.
- Selected acts will be contacted directly and assigned their performance date based upon availability.
- The concert series lineup and dates will be announced during the month of May via the City of Elliot Lake Facebook page and website.
Performance Rules
- Equipment: Bands must bring their own gear (excluding microphones and speakers).
- Check-in: All members must arrive at least 30 mins before showtime for set-up and soundcheck.
- Attire: Clothing must be free from obscenities.
- Behavior: All performances must be respectful and violence-free.
- Set Time: Each musical act is required to perform a set with a minimum duration of one hour and a maximum of two hours..
- Live Performance: No pre-recorded tracks—all performances must be live.
